BlackDog Advertising is looking for a driven and talented, not to mention mathematically inclined Accounts & Budgeting Manager to join our collaborative team. You’ll spend your days creating proposals and project estimates as well as monitoring client retainers to ensure they are staying on budget.

  • New business proposal estimates, budgeting & forecasting
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual Budget projections
  • Keeping Client Budget spreadsheets up-to-date 
  • Working closely with Project Managers and Account Managers to ensure client retainers and projects are staying on budget 
  • Continually reviewing competitor’s pricing, as well as internal and external comparables to understand market pricing and ensure our rates are within industry standards
  • Updating & creating project templates
  • Closing and Opening Monthly Jobs and Retainers
  • Reviewing estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy
  • Regularly reviewing client Scope of Work to make sure we are adhering to budget and scope guidelines, alerting Client Managers and/or clients when overages are anticipated
  • Presenting key deliverables, initial Spec Sheets, timelines + budgets
  • Monitoring project budgets + schedules daily
  • Accountable for staying within agreed upon budget and informing all parties of any changes to scope/assumptions/issues that arise
  • Ensures all external project costs are accurately represented as well as clearly communicated to team Project Managers

Looking for Candidates with the Following Attributes & Skill Sets:

  • 5+ years budget management experience within an agency or organization

  • Strong analytical and business sense and a keen attention to detail

  • Ability to read, comprehend and respond in writing to RFP’s

  • Knowledge of Workamajig a strong plus

  • Strong math, statistical and analytical skills

  • Exemplary organization skills and time management abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to a production schedule

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and approach

  • Responsive, flexible and deadline-focused

  • Takes pride in being able to see ahead, anticipating the chain reaction and impacts of actions

Software Knowledge

  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets
  • Proficient in Mac operating system
  • Proficient in Google Drive suite (Docs, Slides, Data Studio, etc)
  • Knowledge of Workamajig is a plus


  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, math, marketing or related field or comparable professional experience

Position Details:

  • Full time position
  • Hours: 9am - 6pm EST
  • Monday - Friday
