BlackDog Advertising is looking for a Social Media Strategist/Content Creator to work with our creative team in coordinating and managing social media content for a diverse group of clients within industries ranging from Lifestyle and Business to Travel and Tourism.

Is this position remote or on-site?
Temporary remote flexibility will be taken into consideration. However, applicants should ultimately plan to work on-site at our studio in southeast Miami, Florida with ongoing remote days available throughout the year.

Social distancing and personal protective equipment guidelines in place

Looking for Candidates with the Following Attributes & Skill Sets:

  • Experience in and ability to strategize and plan campaigns to increase audience following and participation, while ensuring campaigns maintain brand integrity, client goals and budget.
  • Successful candidates will have an ability to understand and adapt content to fit the individual style and tone of each client, brand and/or industry.
  • Candidates must possess a passion for learning and an eye for detail, excellent problem solving skills, the drive to stay current with today's marketing trends, standards and techniques, and thrive on taking the initiative to take our clients to new heights.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and placing content for a diverse group of clients (within Lifestyle, Business, Travel and Tourism industries)
  • Responsible for assisting with daily content posting for client accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc using Sprout Social
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social is a must
  • Work with Account Managers, Creative Directors, and Internet Marketing team to develop unique, engaging and relevant content for each social channel
  • Assist in developing and managing organic and paid social media campaigns, posts, and efforts across social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc
  • Work with Account Managers, Creative Directors, and Internet Marketing team to ensure tone and style of content is consistent with clients’ brand, tone, look and feel
  • Assist with development of brand awareness and positive online reputation strategies
  • Create and maintain monthly content calendars for all clients
  • Develop engaging posts and campaigns to increase subscribers and encourage follower participation
  • Assist with monitoring and responding to social comments and conversations on clients’ pages
  • Assist with managing and monitoring online polls, contests and giveaways promoted via social media channels
  • Edit content created by team members for errors, typos, grammar, overall concept clarity and use of social media best practices
  • Assist with building relationships and engaging with influencers in order to recognize and create mutually beneficial opportunities for cross-promotion
  • In addition to company supplied training, maintains ongoing self-training to ensure a high level of skills and knowledge
  • Stay current with regard to social media trends, tools and practices

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in business, marketing, advertising, or related
  • 2-3 years experience after graduation working in social media
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-starter; effective in managing projects from the ground up
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-focused
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Strong content generation and copy proofing skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate & work effectively with multiple teams

Software Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Sprout Social is a must
  • Basic knowledge of Mac operating system
  • Proficient in Google Drive suite (Sheets, Docs, etc) is preferred
  • Knowledge of Canva is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Position Details

  • Full time position located in our southeast Miami office
  • Hours: 9am - 6pm
  • Monday - Friday
